Mohonk Wedding

This wedding was shot at the wonderfully grand Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz -- it's a very striking place and the gardens were lovely. Some people thought it reminded them of the hotel in "The Shining" but I found it to be delightful and out of a fantasy. It didn't feel like being in a movie -- it felt like being in an old photograph.



This shot was taken in one of the rooms of the The Wynkoop House in Stone Ridge where they held their reception. It is one of the Stone Houses built from the Marbletown Limestone Quarry. For being built in the 1770's, it's standing up very well.
